Voice over script:

For most of us medications are part of our everyday routine. As we grow older the number of pills we take often increases and it can become confusing for the elderly to manage them alone.

Put your mind at ease with medify, your certified personal medical adviser

If you’re unsure which medication to take, Simply scan your medication bottles and let medify do the rest

Medify has the ability to recognise your medication, locate the ones you need to take today and will ask you to match them to the picture.

You will be shown when and how to take each one and mediify will tick them off your daily schedule

You can then tap on each medication to see a health progress bar. It shows you how your health is improving with the medication and additional steps you can take to speed up your recovery

What does your MR product achieve?

facilitates elderly in managing their medication when it becomes confusing.

How does it work?

uses the phone camera to scan and identify medication and is synched with medical records so that it can correctly locate the medication the user needs to take that day.

How is this MR?

Medify mixes the real-life struggle of managing medication with responsive virtual features. The augmented reality responds to the real world actions and objects to facilitate the user.

Reflection:

Our mixed reality concept focuses on how we can help the user specifically elderly people who have a lot of medication to manage their medication. It can be too confusing to manage them alone as every medication needs to be taken at different times and different ways. It is important to get right it right because missing or over dosing medication can lead to serious health problems.

We enjoyed working on this project and watching it develop. Our ideas initially were based on a physical material being glass, however, we have discussed and generated more ideas that are better suited to be more app focused. We worked well together by working on each half of the video separately and pieced it together and edited it simultaneously. We were able to organise times to meet up and efficiently discuss what tasks were to be completed at a certain time.
